Batavia Remembers 9/11 - Beautiful & Surreal

Our lovely town of Batavia chose to memorialize those lost during the attacks of 9/11 by placing one luminary for every victim (over 3,000) along our Riverwalk. The view was amazing and so surreal to see so many luminaries and know that they each stood for a life lost. While this resembled a tragedy, it was also a beautiful way to represent the lives of these people in contrast to the horror we'd been reliving in the news all week.
